Childcare Waterloo – Thrive Early Learning Centres was established in 1991 and holds an extremely strong reputation in the local community, providing quality care and education. At Thrive Waterloo, safety of your child is our number one priority.
The long-standing and passionate team of Educators and Teachers pride themselves on welcoming families into the Centre. Through interactions, observations and reflections, our team prepares children for their journey into school years.
We endeavour to create a positive experience for children that is both educationally rewarding and joyous. Families and children attending our Centre are nurtured to feel safe, confident and valued.
Our team takes the time to build strong relationships with every child and family, ensuring each child feels a genuine sense of belonging from the moment they walk through our doors. We understand that every child is unique, which is why our Educators take an individualised approach to supporting their interests, strengths, development and learning.
We also encourage families to be actively involved in their child’s learning journey, creating strong partnerships between home and the Centre.
All Thrive Early Learning Centres provide extra-curricular programs, such as language lessons and sports programs via our partners at GrowFit. Thrive ELC – Waterloo is committed to provide a nurturing environment for your child.
We accommodate all families, we’re open from 6:30am – 6:00pm and our fees are all inclusive of meals, nappies and wipes. We’ve got plenty of indoor and outdoor space to meet the needs of your children, so why not book a tour and see for yourself!

"I’m Brenda Barretto, the Centre Leader and Nominated Supervisor at Thrive Early Learning Waterloo. I’ve been in the sector for almost 7 years and my passion is creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels secure, respected and valued. Child safety is at the heart of everything we do, and I believe every child has the right to feel heard, protected and empowered to learn. I am committed to building strong relationships with children, families and educators while fostering a culture of trust, collaboration and continuous improvement. Together, we create meaningful learning experiences where children’s safety, wellbeing and best interests remain at the centre of every decision."

We have had a wonderful experience with this school, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and dedication of the entire team.My daughter was with me full-time until she was 2 years and 3 months old, so I was naturally concerned about how she would adapt to childcare. To my delight, she settled in very quickly thanks to the warm, welcoming environment and the amazing educators.I would especially like to thank Miss Samitha, Blessy, Rachel, Nav, and many others who contribute every day to making this school such a special place. Their kindness, patience, and genuine care for the children make a huge difference.I would also like to acknowledge the positive changes introduced by Miss Brenda and the strong emphasis on multiculturalism within the school. I have loved learning about the cultures, traditions, and celebrations of different countries through the activities and events organized by the school. My 3 year old daughter is incredibly happy at Thrive Waterloo. The quality of care is second to none & the education is well rounded too. Each educator has gone out of their way to get to know my 7 month old too so I have zero apprehension about her starting in January. Nothing is ever a problem so this is a completely stress free aspect of my life.

Our child has been attending this daycare since 10 months old and absolutely loves it. Comes home very happy and energised everyday. The loving educators are the key for me and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

The teachers at this school watch and observe the children's development and changes and inform the parents. My second son has been attending the school since he was six months and I felt safe leaving him there. He has sensitive skin, so we worked with the teachers and had Vaseline applied to his skin. My eldest son was not good at conversation at first and it took him a while to get used to being somewhere new, but they supported him with all his might and he loved school. When there were problems with friends, they discussed a lot and thought about what was best for the child. The food is also good,I wanted to graduate from this school but we’re moving so we’re leaving here, but my boys experience here has been amazing, including with parents, Sisilia is the teacher who was the first reason we decided on this school. The children love her and she is a wonderful, kind-hearted teacher!! Other great teachers include Rachel, Ayra and Prami. I am so glad I sent my child here. Thank you! We love you guys, we love you all! I'll never forget jumping up and down and singing Taylor Swift at the end of the Mother's Day event! LOL Thank you so much!Arigato!!

Enrolling our child in Thrive Early Learning Centre has been an absolute blessing. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were met with a warm and professional atmosphere. The staff at Thrive genuinely prioritize the well-being and development of every child in their care. Our child has thrived (no pun intended) since joining the center, blossoming with new skills, forming friendships, and feeling genuinely loved and supported. Since my little one joined the centre, the director and educators have been so unbelievably caring and supportive. I watched my little one grew and shine in their care. They carefully plan day to day activities based on children’s interests and strengths, and they really focus on building every child’s individuality. They were also so considerate of my situation and provided full support in such a professional way. I am really happy with their service and really grateful. Thank you for your hard work.

Professional, thoughtful, lovely centre full of dedicated staff. Our daughter started at Thrive when it was formerly Reggio Academy, a few months before she turned 2. We have just recently left the centre to move overseas, and everyone was so supportive.We’ve appreciated how flexible and accomodating the staff have been, and it’s obvious what great people they are. The children are often calm, happy and social as opposed to other centres we’ve attended.There is a big indoor space which is quite handy for all weather play too.We love Paula and all the team at Thrive 🙂

Our daughter started at Thrive when she was 6 months old. We were a bit anxious of leaving her at the beginning but the educators in the Dreamers room are very caring and loving to all the children. I can see that my daughter really enjoy her time playing, learning, eating and resting at Thrive and we are comfortable leaving her there knowing she is well looked after. The only negative is the difficulty in finding parking in the morning before we drop her off.I would highly recommend Thrive 👍
